Along with Travis and Little Dave, Rick began his stint with the resurging Dickies in 1995.

Rick appeared on two albums which he not only played on, but engineered on a couple of tracks too.

Rick owns his own recording studio called North Hollywood Sound, but when he was unable to divide his time between his work and the band he stood down in 2001, leaving the door open for Olga to fill his shoes and tour with the band.

Olga was only ever meant as a temporary stand in, but after a brief return to the band Rick quit.
