Michael 'Olga' Algar teamed up with the Dickies following a simple phone call.

Olga contacted Stan to congratulate the band on the Puppet Stew album and mentioned that if they ever needed a bass player then give him a call.

When Rick Dasher was unable to commit to tour dates in 2001/2002 Stan gave him that call.

This highly anticipated pairing did not disappoint, and the live shows with Olga have proved to be some of the most popular in recent years.

Since departing the band Olga continued to concentrate on his output with the Toy Dolls.
