Dave, formerly a member of Muzzachunk, Kraxwurx (which also featured Tiny) and Koro (who's EP Songs For A Grave Age is highly collectible on the vinyl collectibles market), joined the band in 1995 along with Rick, and just prior to Travis.

He had a brief stint out of the band and consequently missed the band's first Japanese outing in 2000, and was replaced on the tour by Glen Laughlin. He had, however, rejoined the band by the time they returned to Japan two years later.

Upon reaching the age of 40 Dave decided it was time to quit smoking and music altogether and he quit the band.

Up until he quit in mid 2005, Dave had been the longest serving Dickie, lasting a total of 10 years.
